Partially restored shell of 18th Century English baroque house. Ornamental grounds landscaped by Capability Brown. Falconry displays are the latest attraction at this, one of the grandest of the Islands mansions. Exhibition and gift shop. Café in falconry centre.
Spectacular cliff top gardens, originally opened in 1843, now offer a wide range of the weird and wonderful, as well as exciting attractions for all the family. These include the Cliffhanger roller coaster, family boat slides, a full size cowboy town, a giant hedge maze and pirate adventure play! Ventnor Botanical Gardens
Open: 10am-6pm daily The Botanic Garden on the Isle of Wight is a place where the pleasure of plants can be enjoyed to the fullest, it is also a place where people of all ages can learn more about the wonderful world of plants and the inextricable link that we have with them. St Catherines Oratory (The Pepper Pot)
St Catherines Oratory is the only surviving medieval lighthouse in Britain. It is the rocket shaped structure, locally known as the Pepper Pot. This location offers the finest views, accross the whole Island, and the mainland and English Channel towards Cherbourg, some 60 miles away.
